SEED is India’s leading integrated CSR & Social Intervention implementing agency, offering a range of services to business services across sectors that include energy, banking, financial services & insurance (BFSI), oil & gas, steel & mines, cement, infrastructure, manufacturing, IT & ITES, pharmaceuticals, automobiles, aviation, healthcare, hospitality and logistics, amongst others.

Established as a Registered Society in the year 2006, SEED has grown into a large and trusted brand that specialises in implementing CSR & Social Intervention projects for companies, both in the public and private sector. A committed team supports the top leadership to achieve the overall vision of ensuring equitable growth and opportunities for those living in hard-to-reach areas as marginalised and disadvantaged population groups.

Providing the entire basket of services as end-to-end solutions, SEED undertakes a complete assessment of the client’s nature of business and proposes interventions that are backed by Need Assessment, Formative Research, Baseline Studies and Assessment Practices (KAP) studies.

Systematic approaches are followed, to develop credible models with potential for impact and change. Broadly, thematic areas covered are Rural Development, Community Mobilisation, Quality Education, Livelihood Development, Health, Agriculture Development, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Employable Skill Development and Women Empowerment.

A lot of work has also been done on COVID-19 supporting our Patrons to reach out to the section of the Society in desperate need.

Our Leadership

Founder and Chairman of SEED, Romira Roy is a true Sociopreneur. Her motto is to bridge the gap between deprivation and services through Corporate Social
Responsibility, with primary focus on Women Empowerment and Skill Development. Romira is part of the strategic leadership team and is responsible for bringing together people committed to the cause of social development who believe that CSR can be a powerful vehicle of change.

Avishek is a seasoned entrepreneurial executive with almost 25 years of experience in Operations & Business Development. He brings with him a myriad of experience across varied industries and sectors including Management Consultancy, Road Safety, Hospitality, Sports, Events, Health Care, Education, Retail, BPO & Real Estate. He has been involved in many philanthropic activities in his career and is now heading SEED as the Chief Executive Officer.

Interventions

The Research & Survey team conducts Social Impact Assessment which includes the processes of analyzing, monitoring and managing the intended and unintended social consequences, both positive and negative, of planned interventions and any social change processes invoked by those interventions.

The main outcome of Social Impact Assessment surveys includes getting insights about the impact of the facilities provided to the community. Based on the analyzation of the data captured, necessary actions are suggested to rectify the problems faced and implement necessary Project activities.

Baseline Needs &
Assessment Study

To perform CSR & Social Project activities effectively, the survey team at SEED CSR conducts Baseline Surveys and Needs Assessments to understand key issues in the targeted project area. They provide valuable insights into the issues faced by the population groups residing in those geographies.

The main outcome of Need Assessment surveys includes getting insights about the needs and problems of the community both at individual household as well as village level related to thematic areas of WASH, Education, Health etc. Based on the analyzation of these needs and problems, further implementation of the various necessary Social Intervention activities in the respective surveyed locations takes place.

Assessment

Social Audit And
Sustainability Report

Social Auditing is conducted on behalf of partner corporates through continuous auditing and inspection. All the results and findings are systematically mapped and documented in the Social Audit and Sustainability Report.

Social audit is conducted as a part of Social Impact Assessment Survey, in which the Research & Survey team reviews the official records and analyzes whether the reported expenditures by the implementing partners matches the actual money spent on the ground.

Advocacy

Based on our years of experience in the Social sector we help organisations develop their policies and road map for Social Interventions. The intent is to ensure the vision of the Organisation is aligned to the projects taken up addressing the Target Groups. It is just not enough to spend your funds and resources but to spend them judiciously.

With experience also comes responsibility. SEED thus believes that we must share our expertise with the Authorities that matter to make policy decisions that govern this nation.
